Next project

My latest project is learning how to make a wig. I used hair for weaving , weaving glue, a styrofoam head and a stocking weave cap. I stuck the hair at the bottom of the cap and worked my way around the cap until I got to the top.

When I ran out of hair at the top I stuck pieces of hair in.

It just needs an additional piece of hair and a cut and comb through and I am done.

More Hair

My latest project in beauty culture is straw curls.I have to use straws, water and gel to wrap hair strands and get ringlets like the one in the middle. It looks messy, but I hope that the results are good.

And here they are. They were upside down but they still looked good.

Hair and Flowers

Most of the people in the beauty culture class I take have had experience with handling hair. This makes me the only amateur there. It takes a lot of practice to do the different skills in class. According to the teacher, "STRAIGHT HAIR PARTING is key!!"
This was my easiest skill so far: pin curls

I did practise doing a hair colour too, but you could barely see it, so I highlighted the front of the hair.

I don't think I would do this on an actual person's head. The chemicals smell awful when you mix them.

Flower arrangements seem easier.
